1. Graduate program applicants should provide their college and graduate transcripts, a copy of their Master's degree thesis, and other relevant academic publications. 2. Master program applicants should have sufficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability in Chinese. The applicants should provide self-handwritten Chinese autobiographies, Chinese proficiency certificates (TOCFL, or other internationally accepted Chinese ability certificates such as New HSK), and certificates of Chinese language classes for at least a year. Chinese ability test should be CEFR A2 or above. 3. Master program applicants from non-native Chinese or non-native English speaking countries are suggested to provide proof of English ability test. 4. Ph.D. program applicants from non-native Chinese or non-native English speaking countries should have sufficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability in English. The applicants should provide English proficiency certificates (such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or GEPT) taken within the preceding two years. English ability test should be CEFR B2 or above. 5. Applicants from English-speaking countries, such as Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, or the United States of America, or those who had studied and obtained college or graduate degrees in these countries can provide certified documents or diploma instead of the English proficiency certificates. 6. Applicants should visit the department website and contact the professors who could be their potential advisors. 7.For master program applicants, online interviews will be arranged if needed. The online interview details will be notified by the department. 8.Online interviews will be conducted for Ph.D. program applicants who have passed the document review. The online interview details will be notified by the department.
